This is a full track mono CCIR recorder, S/N L7313 These recorders can take recording levels of + 6 dB before distortion

This is a full pilot sync record with all circuit boards but if you would like to switch it off just remove the pilot link from the pilot socket on the right hand side of the recorder, if you are not sinking the tape to video or film camera you can leave the pilot link unplugged. BELOW RIGHT, See pilot link plug socket, a pilot sync plug is supplied with this recorder. Above the pilot link and handle fixing screw are the two large case opening screws, please note; only unscrew 3 or 4 turn do not take screws right out, or parts could be lost in the recorder.

ABOVE, you have the playback speaker and the PILOT IN socket, for Pilot sync, plug the pilot link plug is in this socket, if you don'r need to sync lock to a camer just take this Xtal plug out, the 4 mm banana sockets are 4.4 volts output at 600 ohm,

POWER PACK, 6 pin Tuchel socket, you can use the 24 volts ATN power supply, the 35 volts ATN 2 or ATN 3 power supplies, an ATN 3 with battery charger or the UAP11 or 12 power supply on main page.

The 35 volt will give a much faster rewind speed. But must not be used on a Nagra III. The Nagra runs on an internal -10 volt regulated power supply, so you can run the batteries down to almost 10 volt before changing the batteries. Please use leak-proof batteries.

ABOVE, 1 & 2 are 3 pin XLR microphone inputs that are switchable to use Dynamic 48 or 12 volt phantom and "T" powered microphone, The switch for one input is above the VOL control for the speaker output, the ACC 6 pin Tuchel has a Line input and takes the speed control. The line input & output are on the MIXER socket using a 7 pin Tuchel plug or the LINE input is on 4 mm banana plugs. Use the 7 pin MIXER socket that has a Playback or Direct output, leads can be made to order. the Line input is on the 4 mm Banana plugs

ABOVE: The record and playback heads are as new the tape bias and EQ. has been set to flat with a lift of 2-3 dB at the HF end.

The tape I supply on this Website as been selected because the gain and HF is close to the old AGFA 468 or 368, Zonal 468 / 368 and BASF 468, ABOVE RIGHT: The speed and EQ switch has two positions for each speed, 1 can set 1 to flat and 11 can de set to a HF roll off or lift, whatever you prefer. Or I have found that the SM911 standard play tape, can be setup for Speed & Equalization STD and the SM368 and the LPR35 long play tape is the same bias and can be use on speed & equalization 11

This recorder has no got lift off hinges so would have to take the pins out to take the lid off, but there is no major damage to them the case is in good condition.

The recorder works from 12 x U2 batteries or external ATN mains supply or a SMPS power supply see item UAP6 to 12 (not included)

ON THE RIGHT, A full recorder, the second microphone input switching is behind the meter with a black knob, it has all the pilot boards are fitted, The auto record level board is also fitted. And the Crystal Pilot Generator. But a QSV2 speed control will still work if it's a pilot sync recorder or not, when plugged into the ACC socket (QSV2 not supplied)

The battery box is clean and connectors are in good order but there has been a little battery corrosion on the lid of the battery box only as you can see below, it's maily just the white tape need replacing but I only have black.

Nagra is the best reel-to-reel tape recorder ever made with the best of Swiss engineering that you are never likely to see again.
One of the joys of owning a Nagra is that it is an all in one over the shoulder recorder and when you switch it on you know it's going to work and give you a professional quality recording in any conditions
